On Wednesday, October 25th, 2006 Women Helping to Empower Women (WHEW)hosted our first anual fundraising and networking event, Healthy, Wealthy & Wise - Networking for a Cause. 

Since October is Breast Cancer and Domestic Violence Awareness Month, WHEW held their annual fundraising event to support the fight against both these issues affecting women's lives. Proceeds benefitted The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Deborah's Place, Immerman's Angels, and PAVE. 

Held at Mars Gallery, the night included networking with sucessful business women and men, an exciting raffle and not-so silent auction as well as complimentary appetizers and beverages. The total fundraising amount was about $2,500. Speakers included Angela Rose, of PAVE, John Immerman of Immerman's Angels, Mike Slater of speednetworking.com. Special thanks to Mars Gallery, Donna Caspers and Nikki Capra.
